Joint Dislocation
Skeletal System Definition
Joint Dislocation - the internetwork of bones and joints that work together to make up the core foundation of our bodies.
Adult human skeleton consists of 206 bones (208 if the sternum is considered as three bones).
Feet and Legs
The legs are made up of big long bones at the length of the legs and small bones around the ankles and feet
- Thighs have 2 femur bones
- Patella - knee cap
- Tibia and Fibula are the bones between the ankles and the knees
The ankles have many tiny bones (Tarsal bones)
Calcaneus (heel)

- Trapezoid bone
- Capitate bone
- Hamate bone
- Metacarpus (palm) bones
- Digits of the hands
- Proximal phalanges
- intermediate phalanges
- distal phalanges
Skull and Face
The skull is made up of 8 bones called the Cranal Bones (skull bones)
- Frontal bone
- Parietal bone

- Ethmoid bone
The face is made up of 14 bones:
- Mandible
- Maxilla
- Palatine bone
- Zygomatic bone
- Nasal bone
- Lacrimal bone
- Vomer
- Inferior nasal conchae
Believe it or not, there are even three bones in each ear
